Exhibiting Artwork in the Mary Magdalene Celebration

If you create artwork that celebrates Mary Magdalene, you are invited to submit a small piece to exhibit July 18-22, 2023.

This year, the Casa de la Herencia Cultural Puertorriqueña will host The Mary Magdalene Celebration in the main gallery of El Barrio Art Space, and I want to invite you to present a work of art or poetry in the exhibition.

I invite you to participate with an artwork in any medium, dedicated to Mary Magdalene. The piece should arrive ready to be mounted on the wall. Small format up to 11" x 14" is preferred, but larger is possible.

The theme is Mary Magdalene and "Blossoming". The theme is widely interpreted according to the imagination of the artist. Here is a blog I wrote to announce the celebration: The Mary Magdalene Celebration 2023: Blossoming

If you can't be there (hopefully you can!) you can mail the work. To return the work by mail, I will contact you regarding the cost of postage.

Although an original work is better, if you cannot send an original work, you can send a reproduction mounted on canvas with a stretcher or frame (easycanvasprints.com is a good option that I use often.) The exhibition will be from July 18 to Saturday July 22. Deadline: The work must be in my hands by July 15, 2023. The artwork must be ready to hang and please send me the following information: •Artist •Medium •Size •Year •Price •A brief statement from the artist expressing her thoughts on the work of her and Mary Magdalene / Blossoming. For poetry, you can design a poem in a framed framed or canvas print or in some way that will look nice mounted on the wall :) It would be an honor to present your artwork or poem in this exhibition! If you decide to participate, please let me know as soon as possible and send me any questions! With great love, Tanya
