This original painting of Mary Magdalene is inspired by Mary Magdalene’s connection to flowers, perfume, earth, and a spirituality that acknowledges the connection of all living things.

Mary Magdalene holds a sunflower, the flower that always reaches for the sun, a representation of God. Leaves frame her as if nature were embracing her and as if she is in deep connection with nature.

This 8” x 10” original painting was completed in July 2025. The original drawing was published as part of this blog in Magdalene.org, where I post a drawing and some thoughts every day.

The Mary Magdalene Celebration is tomorrow, Sunday, July 20, 2025, so I started early today. I almost finished the program, but may be adding more pages. Here it is: Program.
