This original painting of Mary Magdalene is inspired by Mary Magdalene’s connection to flowers, perfume, earth, and a spirituality that acknowledges the connection of all living things. 

Mary Magdalen holds a sunflower, the flower that always reaches for the sun, a representation of God. Leaves frame her as if nature were embracing her and as if she is in deep connection with nature.

This 8” x 10” original painting was completed in July 2025. The original drawing was published as part of the blog in Magdalene.org, where I post a drawing and some thoughts every day. 

This painting comes with a floater wood frame, a kind of frame that allows you to see the edge of the painting. The frame is about 2.5” wide.
