The Creator of the Magdalene Muses Card Deck
This is Patti Ashley. She wrote the inspiring phrases and thoughts in the Magdalene Muses Card Deck. Her inspiration continues to elevate us every day through her visionary words.
I wanted to share about Patti because her generous soul made this beautiful deck possible. She conceived it, designed it, and then she sent it to the printers. For me, it was the greatest gift. I treasure it and put a lot of love into it when someone orders it, because I am trying to do my part in gratitude for the gift to the soul that Patti created.
Drawing a Card
Today, I thought I would draw a card to see what message Mary Magdalene would send me. I got the card “Ask.”

The affirmation for this card is “I ask for what I need.” Mary Magdalene tells us to ask for what we need when we feel alone and unsure. She says to ask and we shall receive. A simple message, with profound implications.
Do we really ask for what we need when we need it? Do we really seek divine guidance when our soul feels disconnected and wandering in unwelcoming spaces? We usually accept these states as natural and part of “real life.” They are what happens sometimes, and what we must accept.
We are afraid to ask. Because we are afraid of not receiving. We are shy with God.
Mary Magdalene, as a being of light, as a wisdom presence, reminds us that it is our responsibility to ask, because unless we do, our souls will always be in an unnecessary state of aloneness.
We might choose to imagine Mary Magdalene leading the way, her immense light ahead of us guiding our steps toward our most tender desires. Tender, because we fear so much that they will disintegrate before being realized.
What if we make asking for what we need, without doubts, reticence or prejudice, our default action? What if we choose to believe that our wishes appeared because of a deep need of our soul on its way to the light?
I ask for what I need… I don’t always, but I will be sure to remember now that the oracle has reminded me of our sacred duty of living the best life we can design for ourselves.
Will you too ask for what you need?
Thank you Patti for all the inspiration your words bring us!
