Throughout the day, I sent the invitation to the Mary Magdalene Celebration (and the presentation of my book) to friends and fans of Mary Magdalene by text. I invited poets to read a poem. I also got confirmation that Raquel will be singing! I spoke with Corazón Tierra and we connected about the general plan. I felt the energy of the Celebration grow.

There’s still a lot to do, but it’s time to concentrate on building the program and confirm guests. I always start with the program because the people in it. This is what makes the Mary Magdalene Celebration a celebration. Having partners that feel excited about the event, the ceremony, the sharing, is what makes it meaningful to me. It’s all about reconnecting.

I also ordered books, journals and stickers. It took me a long time to get to this final step. I look forward to seeing the final prints.

Here are the images of the stickers. These will be printed as glitter stickers, just because why not? I only ordered 3 designs for now. What do you think?

I’m looking forward to sharing all the creations of this year. And to creating more new art before the end of the year.

I have two images of Mary Magdalene almost finished, and a few still in progress. I had to stop painting with oils because I suspected it was making me sick. That is disappointing but I must keep going. Maybe I will take the oils and some small canvases to Puerto Rico this summer, and paint outside or at least with the windows open. I really love oil painting and all the images above were done in oils. I can’t really give it up, but must find a way to use it safely.

For now, I will liberate myself from my own art prejudices! Acrylics it is. And watercolors. And I only have a few weeks to finish a few more pieces on time for the Mary Magdalene Celebration. No excuses. Get to work!
