Calling on Mary Magdalene to Lead the Way

[Letting loose.]
All day, I have been feeling like something beyond reality has been calling to me, calling me to paint ethereal and surreal images. It’s been a long day, and I have little (time, energy, hunger, desire) left for art. All I have, I gave to Mary Magdalene in this drawing, which is more of a sketch, an incomplete piece that craves color and promises magic.
It is in the imagination where Mary Magdalene lives, and from there she calls for some expansion of the usual daily face. It’s a matter of style, of course, to draw a face. But as time passes and the next year approaches, the mold is breaking and the images want to emerge and take new forms.
Almost done for the year of rendition to a daily task. I have half failed and greatly succeeded in my tasks, but still, I’m ready for the next steps in creating my work of the future. Leading the way, Mary Magdalene points toward a possible path.
