To create without time limits is the most beautiful feeling. There’s a sense of joy and freedom inside that makes you want to breathe, sing and dance. I think that once we experience that, It’s impossible not to search for it the rest of our lives.

When that is not possible, we still need to keep trying and attempt to find little moments of that joy and that freedom a few minutes at a time. An hour here, an hour there, and before you know it you’ve trained yourself to create joy on command.

That’s the kind of joy I’m working on these days. The search for it makes me get up from the sofa, escape the tv show, and get to work. Little by little, I have accumulated many hours of joyful art time, transforming the view of the world I had acquired during my itinerant days.

By drawing Mary Magdalene every night, I am reconstructing my energy and directing my life. How do we translate such an action so that it can help anyone’s life?
