A Revelation

I had a beautiful day at work, but I also prayed a lot while drawing. I am building next year with visions of a fresh start, of strength and fluidity, of creative actions that heal the community I currently serve, of a fusion of who I am with what I do, in everything I do. I see now the root of my uneasiness: I have been two.

A friend showed me my ability for strategy and connections. But I have not used it fully all these years. I tried to keep my lives separate. And it’s no longer possible.

I am not a social worker, that is not my vocation. I don’t like to hear the problems, but I love to envision the solutions. I am an artist who helps heal through my own tools, in a different way. The world needs both. We see the miracles every day, in both ways.

And this is all because of drawing, every day drawing and writing, finding space for deep truth, and paths that come with their own light.
